Get Smart

Great questions! All of them are important, and in short form, the answers are:
The founders of Get Smarter Prep have spent countless hours with students from all over the spectrum. These teachers had a passion for learning, and they found that test prep gave them an opportunity to deeply impact their students' lives by giving them the best possible chance in the next stage of their life - college. If a student could get better scores, that would mean better schools, and consequently, more and better opportunities.
Originally employed as master trainers and tutors by different "big box" test prep companies, whose mission was to teach as many students as possible using the least experienced teachers available (the McDonald's approach to test prep), the founders experienced their own "Jerry Maguire moment" when they saw that a joint venture of their passion, ideas, and experience would involve fewer clients, and hence "less money". But those clients would be happier because of the higher degree of personal attention they would receive. To this day that remains the hallmark of the company - more personal attention. And we know, because of the thousands of students we've personally taught, that more personal attention means higher score increases.
We're a private company, so our daily decisions and perennial philosophy are guided by our highest values and priorities - you, our clients. And we have the testimonials to prove it. We want to save you from big box test prep courses that charge too much and deliver too little and from tutors who say they do "test prep" when they haven't even taken the tests in the last decade. In turn, we want to provide the highest quality of independent college counseling advice to those who desire it. We are passionate about getting students the "score they need for the school they want".
