Amanda grew up in Overland Park and attended Shawnee Mission South High School. In high school, she was very involved in extra-curricular activities: sports, band, orchestra, and musicals. After graduating with Honors, she attended the University of Kansas where she got her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French.
Amanda first began teaching in 2004 at a national test prep company after a qualifying test score on the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT). She taught and tutored the ACT, SAT, and LSAT there for two years. She left teaching in 2006 to attend law school at a top 25 law school, Indiana University Maurer School of Law, where she was a president or vice president of too many student groups including the Graduate Student Association and Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity. After graduating from law school, she returned to the Kansas City area and to test prep. Amanda began teaching pre-college test prep at Get Smarter Prep in 2009. Meanwhile, she prepped herself for and passed the Kansas Bar Exam in 2009 and the Missouri Exam in 2010.
Amanda enjoys playing board games and rooting for Kansas and Indiana athletics!
Amanda is available to work with students at our Mission Office on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 5:30PM to 9PM and Sundays from Noon to 5PM.
