Claire Engel grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Lindbergh High School. While there, she played varsity soccer, tutored in her school’s writing center, and volunteered with Key Club and Special Olympics.
After high school, Claire chose to attend the University of Missouri, Kansas City partly because the city reminded her of St. Louis, which she will always love. She entered as a sophomore because of the AP credit she earned in high school and graduated with honors, earning a degree in sociology. During her time at UMKC, she was part of the Sociology Club, the Arts and Sciences Student Council, and wrote several articles for her school’s newspaper. She also spent a short time studying abroad in Senegal, realizing a long-held desire for travel abroad.
Outside of work, she enjoys soccer, watching movies, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
Claire is available to tutor at our Leawood Office Monday and Wednesday (3:30-8PM) and at the Mission Office on Tuesdays and Thursdays (3:30-8PM).
